VIDEOS OF VARIOUS TYPES OF REBOUNDING

This drill starts with five offensive players just outside the 3-point line. Five defenders match up and assume position at the edges of the key, with one foot in. Place a ball on the ground just in front of the hoop.

On the coach's first whistle, defensive players sprint to close out on the offensive players. The last three or four steps should be wide and choppy with the body leaning slightly back and arms raised to shoulder height.

When the coach blows the whistle a second time, all five offensive players "shoot" a fake jump shot. Defenders contest the fake shots by shouting "shot" and by closing out to the shooters with arms fully extended straight up and keeping their feet on the ground.

As the shooters come down, the defenders turn and box out. As the offensive players come down they are allowed to go for the ball, and the drill remains live until someone gets it.
