Hello Coaches, Players and Fans,

As a prior attendee we wanted to touch base with you on this upcoming summer line-up of camps and remind you of our

We all know with summer comes busy plans, vacations, etc and
it doesn’t always work out to do what you want to fit in. But if you
can work in HOOPZONE it will make a difference!

This year we have once again added many new drills and work stations to our camps while staying focused on fundamentals.

At HOOPZONE Basketball camps we pride ourselves to FOCUS ON FUNDAMENTALS. Teaching campers to execute the skills correctly first (slowly, doing it right), then execute them at game speed (doing it quickly). It is the foundation for establishing
good habits.

Young Kids (age 3-5) in Sports
Although some parents try to avoid youth sports until their
kids are older, like 9 or 10 years old, I feel it can be a huge
advantage in multiple ways to begin young. The biggest fears
some parents have in starting young is “Burnout” when they

K-2 Little Shots (grades PreK-2)
June 23-26 (M-TH), 5:00-6:30

HOOP STARS (grades 3–5)
July 21-24 (M-TH), 2:00-4:00

PUREHOOP Shooting (grades 6–12)
Aug 4&5 (M&TU), 9:00-12:30

Ball Handing & Dribble (grades 6–12)
Aug 4&5 (M&TU), 1:00-4:30

This summer Mid-Michigan Community College (MMCC) Laker men’s basketball coach,
Kaleb House, will be assisting us at our 2014 PUREHOOP Shooting and our K-2 Little Shots
camps, where he will share his coaching expertise with campers. Great exposure opportunity!

Coach House played basketball at Kirtland Community College for two years, acting as team
captain for the Firebirds’ 2003/04 season. After his time at Kirtland, House spent two years
playing for Aquinas College, receiving NAIA Academic All-American status his senior year.

Prior to coming to MMCC in 2012, House coached the varsity basketball team at Beal City, finishing with a record
of 57-28 in his four seasons at the helm. Last year the Lakers, in only their second year in the NJCAA, qualified for
the postseason. Under Coach House’s direction they were Region XII champions and qualified for District play.
They defeated Madison College before losing a close game to 3rd seed Harper College 76-82.
