PUREHOOP Shooting Camp for grades 7 - 12 co-ed

camps-purehoop-home Tired of not knowing where your shot will end up? Left, right, short, long or who knows. Do you really understand the mechanics of shooting? If you are tired of it and want it fixed this is the camp for you!

We GUARANTEE that if you follow the steps in this shooting Camp system and truly understand the concepts, apply it to your practice schedule all summer you CAN become a great shooter!  You can easily boost your shooting percentage by 10%, 20%, or more. We'll give you the tolls and it's up to you to make it happen!

We'll tell you EXACTLY what needs to be done and there's no question . . . it works EVERY time. This isn't rocket science, it is simple but you must understand and commit to it. If you have no desire to listen to coaching and change your shot don't waste your money and our time with this camp. We want to see results and it will not happen unless the athlete is willing to listen and then change from that point on.

Each camp will consist of multiple sessions focusing on instruction and shooting station work and practice, practice and practice!

GREAT SHOOTERS ARE BORN IN THEIR OWN DRIVEWAYS, NOT IN GYMS!
At PUREHOOP we'll teach you the skills and then it is up to you!

What are bad shots . . .
If your shot is a half ball diameter off the target you have serious problems.
Falling short, lack of consistency, rolling your shoulder through your shot,
pushing with thumbs, lack or arc (flat shot), throwing rather than shooting,
rushing your shot, never comes off the same shooting fingers twice.

Confidence is the Most Important Factor in Shooting
Believe in yourself. You want to have confidence in your ability to make the shot every time you shoot. Confident shooters control their thoughts, feelings, and shooting skill. Shooting is much more than good mechanics. It's the feeling, thoughts and belief in your self that comes first. Basketball is a mental, as well as a physical, game. Developing the mental aspect is a key to enhancing shooting as well as performance in all fundamentals.

The Rim is Huge
To help your confidence it is important to know that the basket is big. The basket is so big that two women's size balls can fit through the rim side by side at once. This surprises most players. You can get on a ladder and fit two balls side by side through the rim. Don't believe me, see dimensions below. Realizing that the basket is so big should give a psychological boost to your confidence.

The inside diameter of a basketball rim is 18"
Men's balls are size 7, 29.5" in circumference and 9.37" in diameter
Women's balls are size 6, 28.5" in circumference and 9" in diameter
